I had pelvic pain diagnosed as IC. I know what it really bad. I went to work for months until I can get some relief, and I'm still recovering slowly. Work with your doctor to relieve all types of drugs for the treatment of pain. Not exclude, muscle relaxants and in my case, Klonopin, an anti-anxiety drug that can relax the pelvic floor and to alleviate the pain. Some of the IC is bladder pain, but it is too tight is usually little pain from the pelvic floor muscles. Ignore Most urologists, paste it on Elmiron and we hope it is one of the 20% support, or DMSO instillation. If you do not see your urologist with you to another. Mine was ready to try experimental treatments.

Given how easy it is to do at home - the heat helps a lot. Get use a bag of rice or buckwheat oven and microwave.

Try feeding IC - do not work for me, but it helps some people. And see if you can be a prescription for physical therapy for pelvic floor - this has changed my life.

If you can, go see Dr. Jerome Weiss SF- I flew to see him. It is a world expert in this field. I paid a lot of money to go there and see, but everything has changed. It is worth every penny. He is very cooperative and has really helped me.

Also check the network ICs http://www.ic-network.com/

Be careful not to - not a good advice - there are desperate people who are not in control of their disease, for some reason. I took what I could and went and listened to not suck on me down.

Most importantly, never stop seeking answers. If not, I would not go two years ago - on the couch, not functional, and pain. I'm back at work and recovering about 80% and have a good life again.
